Genetec Mexico City, winner of APDIQ Excellence Award
project
Design of a new Genetec office in Mexico City
Genetec set up offices in Mexico City primarily to provide an immersive experience for its clients, as well as enabling its employees to work in pleasant, accessible spaces. So they opted for a strategic location in the prestigious Chapultepec Uno tower, right in the heart of the new business district.
Located on the 35th floor, with a breathtaking view of the famous Chapultepec Park, the new spaces respect the company's initial technological brand image, but with a warm, residential local touch. Through an itinerary that includes a welcome area, Demo Stations, IOT Display, Technology Center and meeting rooms focused on presentations and exchanges, clients can see the Genetec platform in action by experiencing a simulated security situation. A Training Center is also dedicated to them, for learning how to operate Genetec technological equipment. As for local employees, they benefit from ergonomic workstations entirely unassigned.
In this new concrete and glass tower, acoustic was a challenge. So the FOR. team installed a ceiling made of triangular panels of polyester felt (PET), to which they integrated a system of spotlights on rails. The lighting moves to suit their needs. Sheer curtains were also added along the glass walls, which not only reduce sound levels but also prevent glare from the hot Mexican sun.
